What do we know about Oneplus Nord 2 smartphone so far?

Oneplus Nord 2

Note that the Nord 2 will be separated from the Nord CE 5G that arrives on June 10 and will be cheaper than the Nord N200 Touch on May 25 in North America and Canada. I have not heard from any source indicating how much it will cost, but I will update this post with more information. You can see the current lowest price for the OnePlus North here, but we advise you to wait for the next model.

We know that the OnePlus Nord 2 will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI processor and will display a 6.43 inch Full HD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a 50 megapixel main camera. The OnePlus Nord cost PS379 for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage / PS469 for a 12GB / 256GB configuration so we expect the Nord 2 to cost a similar amount while maintaining the PS549 launch price for the company’s flagship phone and being less expensive than the Nord CE 5G, Nord N10 and even cheaper Nord N200 which opened exclusively on June 25 in North America and Canada.

Several leaks have claimed that the OnePlus Nord 2 will have a triple-photo lens camera with a 50MP main camera that uses the same sensor as the OnePlus 9 Pro Ultra, an 8MP secondary camera and a 2MP tertiary camera. Some sources have pointed out that the main camera will be a 16MP ultra widescreen camera, while the 2MP is a black and white camera with slight differences. If we have to guess, we can assume that the secondary camera is an ultrawide telephoto lens, the tertiary camera a depth sensor and the black-and-white camera a macro snapper.

About Oneplus Nord 2 camera

The original Nord had four cameras – a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP depth sensor and 2MP macro sensor. The company’s blog confirms that the phone will have a triple camera with a 50MP primary lens that uses a Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). The sensor is significant for several reasons: it is the same sensor used in the ultra-wide OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro cameras and the main sensor is the excellent Oppo Find X3 Pro.

As far as cameras are concerned, it is rumoured that the OnePlus Nord 2 will be a triple camera with a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel camera. OnePlus has confirmed however that the main camera will be equipped with a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization. With three cameras, OnePlus is likely to drop the depth and macro sensors, which are believed to be more accurate.

Speaking of optics, the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone will probably be equipped with a triple camera on the back that allows you to click on fantastic high-quality images and videos. There will be a 50 MP primary camera with f / 1.8 aperture, an 8 MP ultra wide angle camera with f / 2.3 aperture and a 2 MP macro lens with f / 24 aperture. Nord 2 from OnePlus comes with four rear cameras, including a large 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MO ultra wide-angle sensor, a 5 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP sensor.

A new rendering of 91Mobiles onLeak shows a device with a rectangular camera body on the back that looks like the OnePlus 9. The report also states that the device retains an alarm slide function and drops the Nord CE (USB-C) port for charging.

Specifics of Oneplus Nord 2 phone

The images of the company show the back of the OnePlus Nord 2, which looks very similar to the OnePlus 9 and the original OnePlus Nord. You can see the leaked rendering of the iPhone Nord 2 below, and since it comes from reliable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, we are pretty confident of its accuracy. The phone looks similar to the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 9, with the company’s logo and three rear cameras in the top left corner.

As previously leaked, the OnePlus Nord 2 will be a 6.43-inch FHD + Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The phone is rumoured to have a large 45,000 mAh battery and will be available in 8GB, 128GB, 12GB and 256GB configurations. On the back, the phone will likely feature a triple camera consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary shooter flanked by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP sensor.

The Nord 2, unveiled earlier this year, will be the first OnePlus phone to run on the MediaTek chipset. OnePlus itself has confirmed that the phone will have 5G and will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 AI chipet, a 5G chipet exclusive to the company and offering AI benefits. Rumors suggest that the chip is being used for artificial intelligence, and by that we mean a version of artificial intelligence that can be optimized by a few phones that use it. A list of other possible specifications that OnLeaks has received includes a selection of 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of memory, 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage.

The phone will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G-enabled chipset, which offers huge advantages over the Snapdragon 765G in the North. OnePlus becomes all-MediaTek on a phone, and while the company has used Qualcomm designs throughout its eight-year history, it has made steady gains in that category, so this isn’t exactly surprising.
The phone also features improved camera hardware in the form of a 5.0MP primary camera, 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro module, a 3.2MP front camera, a 4500mAh battery and a new vibration motor.
OnePlus has promised to deliver two major Android updates and three years of security updates for North 2 as well as 5G. Given the many details of OnePlus Nord 2, we can only hope that OnePlus now turns to some critical areas of the device. OnePlus has a range of devices, all of which are called Nord 2.
